The Story
Some Trade Federation imposes a blockade on the nifty planet
Naboo, and two Jedi (Qui-Gon Jinn and the young Obi-Wan Kenobi)
are dispatched to negotiate.
But the Trade Federation is obviously not interested in negotiations,
and the Jedi and Queen Amidala of Naboo, as well as CG-charakter
Jar Jar Binks are seeking the help of Senator Palpatine on
Coruscant.
On their way they meet Anakin Skywalker, a slave boy strong
in the Force (and it's no surprise this horribly sweet boy
will be the scourge of the galaxy later!).
Negotiations fail, but Senator Palpatine is elected Supreme
Chancellor.
The Trade Federation is invading Naboo with huge droid-armies,
and Qui-Gon Jinn is killed by the evil Darth Maul during the
fights.
Sweet Anakin saves the day by accidentally destroying the
mothership which controls the droid-armies of the Federation.
We realize it is all a setup from Senator Palpatine (Darth
Sidious, the phantom menace), to come to power. |
