Joey Wong (cantonese Name Wong Tso-Yin) was born
in Taiwan on January 31, 1967. Her height (5' 8" - 1.73 m)
and delicate beauty made her a top model in Taiwan, and she went
on to a fabulous acting career.
With 'A Chinese Ghost Story' (1987) she became popular throughout
Asia, and was voted 'most popular actress' in Japan in 1990. She
also was a mega-star in Korea then.
Joey Wong often played the role of a beautiful ghost, but was also
popular in films like 'The Legend Of The Golden Pearl' or 'God Of
Gamblers' with Chow Yun Fat.
After a very stressing year 1993 in which she worked on eight movies,
she retired and made only a couple of movies since. |
