Christina Applegate was born on November 25, 1971 in Hollywood, California. Her father was a record producer and her mother Nancy Lee Priddy an actress and singer. Her parents got divorced shortly after Christina was born.
Christina's TV career started at the age of three month in a TV soap with her mother, and continued with a commercial at age five. She landed her first proper movie role at age nine.
For ten years - from 1987 to 1997 - Christina was Kelly Bundy in TV cult comedy series Married ... with Children. She also appeared as a guest star in another cult TV series, Friends, as Jennifer Aniston's sister, and won the 55th Annual Prime Time Emmy Award for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy for her performance in "The One with Rachel's Other Sister".
Christina was was one of the founding members of the Pussycat Dolls.
She was married to Jonathon Schaech in 2001, but the couple got divorced in 2007.
In 2008, its was reported that Christina Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she underwent a double mastectomy. She has inherited a genetic default, a BRCA1 mutation, from her mother who also survived breast cancer.
